Personally, I'd prefer a quality Little Mermaid dark ride for this location over a Pixar fun house.
I agree, they cant put Mermaid in but they can put Woody in. That sucks. I wish it was a Mickey themed fun house that would make it much better. Toy Story already had a fun house at DL, we don't need a ride of it. Also why both parks not getting it in the WWTBAM building.

I hope they don't call it Woody's anyhting cause Woody is a cowboy and anything cowboy would never fit an ocean boardwalk. I hope they keep the Midway Mania/Madness name and if they want characters in name make itmore broad instead of one character.

The ride sounds interesting. Here's hoping it's more like Roger than Buzz in the ride system, utilizing a bus-bar rather than an omnimover. I remember hearing many people wishing Disneyland's Buzz would be bus-bar back when the ride was just speculation. A bus-bar would be a bit faster in pace, and that is where I hope it's closer to Roger Rabbit. An interactive bus-bar sounds very interesting with effects that could be exclave to you, just like MIB at USF. That is one thing that is lacking on Buzz.

The name just reminds me of Mulholland Madness. Talk about ick and ewe. Hope the name changes. And here's also hoping it's less of a Pixar punch and more themed to a carnival. Toy Story is great but I'm a little tired of Disney characters being applied to every new attraction.

I'm sure woody would love to have a ride named after him in DCA. Although, that is a synonym for a wooden roller coaster...

The latest plan for the attraction is to make it an interactive ride where guests fire a gun at objects that pop up on screens as the vehicle moves through the attraction. It is more like a cross between Buzz, Roger Rabbit, and the Vitural Pirates at DisneyQuest.

And the characters are all themed around Toy Story, but minus Buzz himself. That was the latest I know from a few months back.

This could attraction could begin construction within the next 6-8 months if it gets approved. John Lassiter was up at WDI this past week reviewing this attraction and Incredibles.
so i guess that would just about kill any rumor of a "woody's round-up" in frontierland...

and honestly, this is the first idea that i actually am not impressed with. i loved the idea (i can't remember who exactly said it first...) of a dark ride that combines themes from boardwalk games and your typical carnival side show characters... that would've been an awesome idea.
