I'm so tired of Teenager Stupidity

What is it with teenagers and being...stupid? I'm not talking about all teens, but the ones who think they are "all-that", they think it's cool or funny to disobey the rules and (heaven forbid) safety warnings. They think it's funny to make loud noises on attractions and thus ruining it for everyone else. And, I have to say that it's mostly in the boys. Girls, not so much. Teen girls get annoying when don't shut-up during attractions and they scream for nothing.

    Yesterday (4/18) was the worst.
There was a group of Asian teens, two girls and two guys. The girls were dressed in weird costumes. They talked throughout the entire show of the Enchanted Tiki Room.

We went on Small World twice yesterday. The first time there were a bunch of "valley girls" who sat behind us. One of the girls obviously loves to hear herself talk. Then, this stupid girl starts singing the tune of the song, but she sings "Feliz Navidad" for all the lyrics. Obviously she doesn't know what that phrase means. She sang while the other girls took flash pictures.

The second time there was a boat filled with Indian/Middle Eastern guests. There were three boys in the back row. Throughout the entire ride, these boys stand up on the seats. They stuck their hands in the water and kept them there. One boy even held his head outside the boat to dunk it. One boy kept moving throughout the boat going back and forth between the last row and the second row. They kept grabbing onto the track and holding it, making their boat stop and making our boat constantly bump into them. Meanwhile the parents are oblivious, they just sit there allowing their kids to do these things. And not one Cast Member said anything. Don't they have cameras in the attraction? I kept hoping that one of the kids would get his hand pinched, they deserved it.

Why is it that every teenager has to scream, stupidly, in the Haunted Mansion? And they do it throughout the entire ride. And such language these kids use.

I can't stand going to Disneyland when there are schools there on field trips. Yesterday was because of spring break, but these kids are so immature, it's not even funny.

But it realy sounds like you hit the park on a bad day.

i understand to a certain degree that it can be frustrating but it is the happiest place on earth and youngins are allowed to have fun. Im one of those people that sings loud and obnoxiousely on POTC and rocks the log on Splash.

I understand where you're coming from, but this can be said about all the guests no matter what age, race, height, etc. I've experienced older people acting up. Just move on. It's not the end of the world.

I understand your frustration but why is it neccesary to point out that the kids were Asian? Do white kids behave better?

What pissed me off the last time I was at the resort was watching this little boy tug and tug on the artificial vines through out the ToT queue, all the while his father just stood by and watched. He was never told to stop and was succesful at yanking out several branches. My friend whispered in my ear....."I bet that is irritating the hell out of you, huh?", It took all my power and a hole through my lip to keep my mouth shut. It's just so disrespectful and frustrating to see brats destroy things that WDI builds for our enjoyment.

It clearly has to do with the individual teens who find the need to act out for attention. Therefore, among their peers, they acheive some recognition for their foolish, stupid, selfish behavior. It is the same mindset that makes idiots play rap music in their automobiles at decible levels that you can feel three cars away.

Professing to be wise, they were fools.....

I blame the parents. I know. I am a parent of a kid who was like this. She is much smarter now.

Very good points doppio and Maxdad I can't stand when I see kids climbing on things or trying to destroy things at the park .I mean singing songs is ok if you know the words and if you don't just keep your mouth shut.

I don't get being dumb just for the fun of it????

Hey I have 2 kids myself and I hope they would never be like that.

I think perhaps it's the age we live in. This type of behavior happens everywhere, the grocery store, the theater, school, and parents or responsible adults are not reprimanding or controling the behavior. Growing up I would have had my hand slapped or rear end smacked. But that is not acceptable anymore. Respect for others is not an attribute people strive for now. Hopefully you were able to enjoy the rest of your time at the park.

Actually, It's a Small World is the only fantasyland attraction without cameras.
