It will have to gain about three million more guests every year. It'll be some time.

I haven't read through the rest of the thread, so I don't know if anyone talked about this yet.....
On Sunday, I got into DCA at about 10:15. Wanted to go on Monsters, but as usual, the line for it was past the Muppets entrance. So I thought, I'll just do a quick ride on ToT as usual. I walk in the line, and did a double take, because it was the first time that I've seen ToT's full outside line being used since the opening summer (45 mins). California Screamin was also a 45 minute wait at 10:30, and for the first time ever, Maliboomer filled up it's entire overflow line at 11:00. It was a crazy day at the resort!....."I have a feeling that obtaining my potential would really cut into my sittin' around time." ~ Maria Bamford

And the upkeep throughout IOA is a mess. The place looks like it's falling apart. I've never caught Disney, even when i worked there and got paid to look for it, with 2x2ft patches of paint missing from decorative columns like i saw at Suess Landing.
IOA was built like DisneySea, anticpating no need for immediate growth. It backfired there too. They've been sending out free tickets to locals with a "buy up to 6 more tickets for just $35" and you should see the response on WDW forums - "Meh. It expires in June, i'm not going until the new Suess ride opens."

Our gang never left DL until 1 AM when they were younger - the time changed to midnight sometime after '97. I'm sure that I still have video with the time on it showing us walking back to the hotel after one and we walked back before the teens did.

^also in response to my original statement
I wasn't saying that DCA was a top 10 park, but that there are not "grades" for parks. Whether you like a park on not is a subjective opinion. The closest thing that I can think of is attendance figures which may or may not be accurate. So maybe DCA is top 15 then worldwide

04-26-2006 11:32 AM #148Wow! Then all the people that say they like DCA must be lying. That's amazing, 9oldmen. Actually using charts to disprove a subjective opinion. Hmm....think of the possibilities.

Methinks thou doth protest too much, honey. No it wouldn't!!!
P.S. Anyone know the source of coastergrotto.com's numbers? Just curious.

Are those numbers even close to being accurate?
I thought Tokyo DIsneyland was the most visited magic kingodm in the world?
Oh well, One of the guys here at work went to the resort this weekend. He said they waited an hour to get into the parking structure. That they were stopped in the 5 freeway since the lines backed up all the way into the freeway.
So did they end up extending DCA's hours like they do Disneylands when it gets too busy?
Do they have back-up plans to extend some of the shows like Playhouse Disney and Alladin or do they stop the shows early and let the place sit dead while 30k people wonder the area?
Do they at least pull out more characters to keep the people entertained?
I have heard they do this for Disneyland by adding extra fantasmic showings or more street entertainment. I wonder if they consider things like this at DCA.
I am guessing that they should take in considerations the large crowds and do these things to help people leave with a smile and start spreading positive word about the park.
