Jim Hill's Article: John Lasseter: “Quality is a great business plan”

I take what Jim Hill says on his website with a grain a salt like most people do when they read his site but I want to know if their is any validity to this article which states that John Lasseter's position at WDI will largely be ceremonial. I also want to know about Gnomeo and Juliet and its connection to Disney. I know that Lasseter and Catmull dropped this movie for certain reasons (which im totally happy they did this) because it wasn't really "Disney" but on Jim Hill's site he claims that the movie will continue to be released under Miramax. Will this movie have any connection to Disney if released because it sures seems so as described on the site?
