You know, that only really works well coming from the north. You can't see it the same coming from the south.Originally Posted by ocnative1964

Yeah it doesn't work from the South, but coming from the North always did. In my family the first person to spot the Matterhorn got a whole quarter!!!!!

The last visit I really noticed the marquee faded quite a bit since the previous visit. The logo now seems a little dated too since they reverted back to the traditional Disneyland font.

The signs, in my opinion, are crappy. Weird choice of colors, and strange. Too much orange. Hopefully they are getting rid of the last of the original DLR logos.

If they are going all retro for the 50th they should bring back the old sign!

The old yellow and white one or the blue one they replaced it with in 1989? I wish they never got rid of it. If they still had it, it could easily have the word "RESORT" affixed to it. The sign added in 2001 is incredibly bland in comparison. Why they got rid of the sign I don't understand, because there is nothing there where it used to be, and after they took it down, they had a tiny little sign saying it was Disneyland.
By the way, walls are up because they are adding a loop.

And a stick.
I thought they had to take it down due to new zoning laws in Anaheim, same with the Disneyland Hotel sign on the buildings.

Indeed. If you see Ol' Matty coming from the north, it's a omen that your day is going to totally freakin' rule!

Unless you were driving right by it to go visit relatives in Tustin.
But, when you were getting off at the Global Van Lines building, that was really exciting.
And right before that, was a giant billboard of Dopey, with his hand extended out with one of those cartoon devices that look like XXXXXXX with his glove on the end, pointing to the Harbor Blvd offramp. You may contact me via jonvn@nadelberg.com.
