"I'm the first to admit I didn't know it was set in the desert. And I agree it could be spruced up too. But SOME people want to level it and start over. Not gonna happen!"

If I am the "SOME people", then you are flat wrong. I would not bulldoze the area. If I had card blanch to rework the land, I'd take out the runway, reface the existing buildings with wood and rock work to blend in with GCH that looms over the area, then continue the mountain road themed walkway of Grizzly Rec area out to the entry plaza. Finally, I'd continue the rock/rough cut wood look into the hallways of Soarin', Fly and Buy, and Taste Pilots.

In short, rethemed the land from drab and boring to beautiful and imaginative. Make it truely blend into Grizzley/GCH.

That is NOT the same as bulldozing everything.

card blanch?

So a boring and repetitive mountainous area would be better than a differently themed desert area, eh?

Epcot is 260 acres with World Showcase being the largest part of that. The circumference of the lagoon is 1.5 miles.

DCA is 55 acres. Walking from the hub, to Screamin, then back, not even half a mile.

As for smaller crowds... 10 million visitors a year in 260 acres or 6-7 million visitors a year on 55 acres. DCA's guests are, on averge, 3 times as dense.

How long is Main Street? How dense is that area? Seems to be working out fine.

A couple hours a day. The vehicles stop running once the park gets busy.

Are they really going to retheme a portion of DCA's entrance hub to fit running busses a couple hours a day? Man I hope not!

Why not? It's very charming and convenient for a lot of guests.
