I asked about that, and he said the Entrance Plancemakeing project is still a go, just delayed. The thinking is that they don't want the two construction projects going at the same time.

Yeah, if that's the news, I can definitely get gigidy (as Quagmire would say) about it.
Is placemaking going to do something about hiding the Anaheim skyline behind Screamin'?

^that makes sense, especially something as big as the entry, its a big enough hassle having the entry all ripped up,let alone having the entry and the pier all ripped up...spacing them out is the right decision.

That a boy, Nemo!! I knew you could get behind a decision Matt made about DCA.
Fact is, dude, I totally agree with all your thoughts on upgrading DCA. But you have a passion about the place rarely seen. I didn't think you'd be able to exhibit this kind of patience.
Proud of ya', boy!!

That is word for word exactly what I was going to put.

We had this entire discussion already... Los Angeles Union Station is beautiful and would be a great place for them to relocate the Information area... DL has City Hall DCA has a small booth... it would look much nicer and make more sense in a grand art deco Union Station style building.

Well if we're gonna get technical that route according to http://www.webwalking.com/googlemap.htm would be .68 miles. More than "not even half a mile."

Thanks Club33az!

yeah,I definatly think this is a good decision, step in the right direction,I dont mind things getting pushed back etc as long as the overall "growth" moves forward. So weather the pier gets its placemaking first or the entry,I dont mind,as long as something gets moving

yeah,I love DCA (and DLR as a whole),I really want to see the place do well. so the more enhancements, the better
