I assume, that is the good news that Michael and Marci were hinting at and that the bad news is that the DCA Entrance Plaza Placemaking Project has been put on hold.

I think that sounds great!

Did the popularity of Monsters have anything to do with this decision?

Oh, I almost forgot. My girlfriend asked me to start a rumor that the very good news is Swiss Family reclaiming their treehouse.... so....

"My contacts deep within WDI have told me that Ouimet is very unhappy with guest response to the Tarzan Treehouse. As a result, as soon as they find the molds to the fish, construction will begin on transforming the treehouse back into the home of the Swiss Family."

Molds of the fish?

They have an entire Swiss Family treehouse at WDW to base things on. (which btw, the surrounding areas have been updated recently to match the hodge-podge shipwreck building style of the treehouse).

You guys debating the merits of a train station versus a bus station do realize that Sunshine Plaza already has a train station, right? That's what the whole building behind the train is supposed to be. The Guest Relations booth is patterned after San Diego's Santa Fe train station:

No I said the information stuff would be better inside of a big art deco building like City Hall at DL instead of shoe-horned into a tiny booth. And as for the Santa Fe station... talk about lost in translation.

Do Baptists really need to pump their spirit up? I thought they were pretty pumped up to begin with.

So by Paradise Pier Placemaking Project, do you mean the whole transformation of the Pier into the historical theme...or just construction of the new ride? If it's the latter, I would assume that most of the construction would be backstage; which, if that's the case, "they don't want the two construction projects going at the same time" is a lame excuse, IMO, for not moving forward on the Entrance Plaza Placemaking Project. I'm sure the reason is more financial than anything else. If new attractions end up boosting DCA's attendance, I fear the Placemaking projects will never see the light of day.

I don't know if I buy the too much construction at once business either... There's a lot on both sides of that argument but I'm leaning towards not buying it.

I never realized that. You've got a good eye, ExClub.
I think an accompanying bus/transportation/whatever station building patterned on the same or even a different but complementary building to hold the DCA version of guest services/relations would be great.
