Jim Hill has a new article out that deals with the info in this topic....

http://jimhillmedia.com/blogs/jim_hi...5/16/2407.aspx

Nothing new really, other than a quick mention of a PP water show, which I hadn't heard about before.....

OMG... that article is a prime example of why it's so dificult to get through JHM's articles... I don't know what it is but they are just so terribly dull to plow through. He lost me at the "Why For?" then the "Soooo" and after the upteenth odd use of dashes and elipses...

I coincidently just read a chapter in Zinsser's On Writing Well and this is a clear cut example of breeziness.

Huntington Beach Ruby's tries, but it's not historical:

Hotel del Coronado, remains, perhaps, the best and most obvious inspiration.

I think Catalina is an easier stretch for a "Victorian Pier" than the Hotel Del Coronado.

interesting article. Jim hill is always so dramatic.

I wonder if we will have another Mr Lutz update to chat about this tuesday.

Its interesting to hear diferent peoples take on the same ideas concerning the changes rumored for the Pier.
