On the 210, we got just past where I grew up in San Dimas(Lone Hill and Arrow Highway(go Saints)), then hopped off at Azusa Ave or Citrus Ave... one of those. Denny's on the left, gas station on the right. I mpossible to get back to the 210 from the gas station.Originally Posted by MoonRakerSCM

When picking this room, I looked at a lot of hotels... some saying they offer free internet and some saying you had to pay. I was able to make an informed decision. $100 a day for the room with free internet and no parking fee.... $70 a day with $10 a day internet that is half the walking distance to the park.
$16 to park, with it not even being valet, with no free lot available, on a room that was only $87. 16% unavoidable parking tax?!?! That is crap.

Day 2 of DL,
So, we finally hit Denny's at about 10:15. Made it to DCA at about 11:15. Grabbed FP to Soarin' then rode ToT. 20 min, but all of that in the boiler room as the library was a walk-in. Only running 2 shafts again.
After ToT we did Aladdin. My 19 y/o daughter's first time. Flying carpet not working, which is a real bummer as this is one of the most impressive effects.
Turtle Talk (cute as always), Monsters (posted 10 min but not really even that long). They need to reduce capacity like they do on ToT if they want internet boards to continue to consider this ride a success. I still love this ride.
Having done all the great new stuff, we were forced to do the mundane stuff that has been here since opening. We used our Soarin' FPs, then got Screamin' FPs.
Too cloudy and cold for GRR, so we did the mad mouse, the 2 youngest did the wave swing, Beth and I did Boomer, then we did TTBaB. Finally time we could use our Screamin' FPs.
They were using both sides of Soarin' load but I doubt capacity would have been any lower if they were only using 1 side. There were huge waits from when one train left to when the next arrived.
It was now after 5PM and we were long past done with DCA, so we headed to Pizza Port for dinner (converting my 19 y/o daughter's hopper into a deluxe AP, then grabbing Space FPs on the way). We did Autopia (posted 25 min, more like 15), Small World(walk-on), Buzz(10 min), Space stand-by (posted 20, more like 15) then Space with FP.
It was getting close to 8PM, so we headed down Main Street and watched the 50th movie, then back to the hub for Fireworks. The finale was cut off. I really hope it was do to wind, but since it ended at 8PM exactly, I strongly suspect it was because of grad night and they REALLY wanted us out of the park ASAP. Either way, kind of a bummer as it ended VERY abruptly with TL scene.... Saw the Tinkerbelle cable/trolly thingy going back without her attached. Either they unhooked her in less than a minute, or they knew they were cutting it short way before they did.
Myabe they should start at 8:40 instead of 8:45 if they really, really want it to end at 9PM.
Whatever.
I got back to the room and did a couple hours work last night. The original plan was to be at DL at 9AM opening this morning, but I don't think we're gonna make it. 7:45 and no one but Beth and I have yet stirred. Heck hath no furry like a teenaged girl woken from a deep sleep.

Why is it raining? Worse weather in June than we had in February.

Raining? Perhaps heavy misting? Or true rain?

So, back to Sequoia. They just repaved the path around General Sherman tree and redid all the fences. Then, a 7-foot diameter branch fell off the tree from a height of 200 feet. The new fence is splinters and new pavement is crushed to bits.
We saw deer a coupe times, had to chase a racoon out of our camp site, saw a snake, marmuts, and of course a large array of squirrels, chipmonks, birds.....
