    Radiator Springs

I've been browsing the Cars related threads lately and a interesting trend has come up.
Lots of people post about how there should be a Radiator Springs set in DCA. Personally I absolutly love the movie and the town. One of the things that makes it attractive is the beautiful landscape (desert to forest).
My point: why does the Condor Flats area get put down badly, yet as soon as a Pixar film depicts a desert town it suddenly has to be built in DCA?

because the people that put down condor flats mostly do it because its in DCA.

It is part of the constant squabble since 2001

I don't like the idea of Radiator Springs in DCA. I LOVE Condor Flats. I don't think that RS has too many ride opportunities.

i think they both could co=exist. One as a desert airfield and the other as more thought out route 66 than the whatis there now.

the more I read about all this the more I want them to just enclose Mollaholand Madness and make it a darkride similar to that one Paris is getting with Crush o_o

I don't know about exteranal theming though but combining Cars with route 66 makes since to me

I thought I was the only one that felt that way! Look, I really like the idea of Radiator Springs for DCA, as it fits the theme and has fun characters. But I can't really think of many ride concepts for the area, short of a Flik's Fun Fair kind of place.

It just seems like a very, very limited area for DCA. Think of how broad the concepts of Adventureland, Tommorowland and Fantasyland are at Disneyland. None are built around one movie or idea, but encompass a lot of different concepts. Thats why I don't want Radiator Springs for DCA.

What they could do is make the Route 66 area look kind of like how it appears in Cars. This could represent the desert of California. Condor Flats could combine with Grizzly Peak and represent the forests of California.

Just picture all of what Route 66 is now and erase it all. From San Fransisco to Pizza Oom Mow Mow it'll all be gone. There will be a whole bunch of rocks and weathered buildings. Rock formations would separate the land from the bay and the pier. It's really hard to explain... I just picture a lot of rocks, trees, cacti, and waterfalls.

Ride wise, there would be the Cars ride that has been planned for a while, a small car museum, a desert themed playground where kids can wander through caves and climb through dinosaur bones, and possibly a small dark ride themed to a tourist trap.

Yeah, funny, this is a Pixar addition that would actually make sense to the original theme of DCA for once. I mean, there already is a "Route 66" section however crappy as it may be, I for one wouldn't complain for Cars synergy...
