A potentially stupid question about park hopper tickets

We're heading out to DLR in a couple weeks for our first visit, and a thought occured to me.

In WDW you can use your park hopper to go in and out of any or all of the parks as many times as you want in a single day.

Is it the same way in DLR? Example, if we go to DL in the morning, go to DCA in the afternoon and then try to go back to DL in the evening, it won't count that as another day will it?

Like I said, probably a stupid question but, for some reason I started doubting what I already thought I knew.

    Anyway, thanks!

You may visit both parks in oen day... hence the name 'Park Hopper'. You will have to get a hand stamp at the exit to one of the parks and show your ticket to get into the other park.

ionfreeway, welcome to the forum! (hit thread #2885-roll call
not a stupid Q to find out before you go!
Like you figured, you can hop all day. The re-entry policy has had a few variations lately, so I don't know where they're at on hand stamp/re-entry lines but you will get back in (there are some other threads around here re: that) Enjoy your trip.

I missed my Sun AM trip today....half busy...half lazy

I know with AP you can go in and out as many times as you want in a day so I dont imagine the park-hopper deal is any different. But it may be beneficial to simply get a hand stamp anyway.

Just make sure what you get are actually park hopper tickets. Just like at WDW there are one day one park tickets available.

The minimum number of days you need to buy to have a park hopper is 3 days. So if you only have two days available, you'd probably get a one day ticket for each park.

It's the same idea as WDW, where you need to buy a minimum of 5 days, to receive a park hopper.

I guess the formula from the Walt Disney Company is, if the guest has one more day to play, then we have parks, they will probably want to park hop. Otherwise they would probably just spend one full day at each park.

Thanks for the advice. we definitely bought 4 day park hopper tickets. I was pretty sure that there must be some system in place so that you could leave and re-enter the park w/o using up an additional day on the ticket. Thanks!

oh yeah, no problem, thanks for asking.

We're going from the 21st to the 26th.

My wife and I just recently went to WDW for 10 days this past October for our honeymoon. We had such a great time that we decided to head out to DLR for our first time.

Luckily, we got bumped on our flight to Florida and US Airways hooked us up with 2 free round trip tickets. Between that and the discounts we recived from the Disneyclub we were able to do 6 days for a pretty reasonable amount.

We're staying at the Sheraton Anaheim, and we're gonna go to Universal one of the days. We were really dissapointed that Splash is going to be down because we went on that about 10 times in WDW.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what the haunted mansion out there is like because the one in WDW has been my favorite ride of all time, ever since i was a little kid.

I've been to WDW 4 times in 25 years, so I'm eager to see the place that started it all. It's cool that we're going only 6 months after our WDW trip, because I have everything fresh in my mind for comparison.

Anyway, that's about it! Thanks again for asking!
