Hello folks,
I know that there has been many attempts to save attractions that are about to be retired, but wondered how many memorials are is the park for these former attractions. I know of a few already, and would love to find out more.
1) The Microscope from Inner Space is in the maintenance bay of Star Tours.
2) Swisspolka can still be heard in the Tarzan Treehouse.
3) The old attraction vehicles in the Rocket Rods Queue.
4) The subs whistle is now a sound at the SS Rustworthy in DCA.
5) You can hear the Peoplemover music in the queue for Superstar Limo.
Please list any more that you know !!!

Jennifer,
That is a great one! Yes that snoring bear is a tribute to Rufus the snoring bear from the old Bear Country days of Disneyland.Karma Boy

How about the Main Street Electrical Parade that is soon to open in DCA?
Also the music which is "California Bears" in Disneyland is played in the sun area of DCA as its origional "California Girls".
Perhaps the Mr Toad car in the new Atopia ride, in case Mr. Toad ever dissappeared?

or how about this one when you go to Thunder Mountian the Town and the music and Vices coming From the Town are acually from the Mine Train through Natures wonderland...
then Splash Mountian Holds the AAs From America sings and Star TOurs has 2 geese striped down to be G2 Droids.... IF you go to innoventions the song is Theres a Great Big Beautiful Tommorrow From Carosol of Progress which was in that very Building..
When there were the Rocket Rods they still used on the Circle Vision screen Clips From America the Beautiful...
Then the Autopia has the Bronzed Miget Autopia Car on the Attraction....
What else is there??One of the Many Dave CMs

Don't forget the old Eeyore parking sign somewhere in Indiana Jones.
Hmmmmm, with Rocket Rods closing where will the tribute to them go, and what happens to the tribute to circle vision and the old ride vehicles?

How about that dilapidated train (w/ animatronic squirrels popping up) that's on the mainland side shoreline, just "upstream" from the Mark Twain's dock??? You can see it from Tom Sawyer Island, Mark Twain Riverboat & the Sailing Ship Columbia. I'm pretty sure that's the actual Mine Train Through Nature's Wonderland...right Dave?
& like Karnever said, the AAs in Splash Mountain are prime examples.
I also dig the abandonded Fantasyland station for Skyway to Tomorrowland. It's all pearched up thar, way cool locale. They should do something with that.
Good subject for a thread...
