I just read this and am glad I had the chance to go before it is gone. Sad to see another part of Walt going into yesterdayland.

Club 33 to Close
Reuters reports that Disneyland is to close the exclusive Club 33 this July.
Paul Pressler of Walt Disney Attractions made the announcement recently, saying "the need to keep the Disney theme park division at the cutting edge of the entertainment industry." and went on to say "The elitest pomp of Club 33 simply does not fit into our vision of the new Disneyland."
Pressler said that the club may be used for a future attraction or restaurant in the future.

Land lubbers be catious when making yar approach in to New Orleans Square...when word of this gets out all my sail mates that reside in POTC may mutiny & take over the exclusive club. Look for Pressler at the end of a plank & Eisner on the wet side of a keel haulin'.

I'm researching right now, but I read the artice as well, and can tell you that there is a very good chance that this is not true!
I have been in correspondance with some people I know, and the artice on the other site was the first time that Pressler's office had ever heard such a thing, much less that Pressler said it.
I'll get back to you when I know more!

I just checked with my sources, both at the L.A. Times and at the mouse house and it appears this story is true... it just got leaked a little sooner than Mr. Pressler wanted.
Say bye-bye to the beloved Club 33. What's next? The Tiki Room?

It's a shame if this happens...I thought that it was neat that they had such a place...and I love the mystery that has always been shrowded behind that door!

Man I hope this is not true, if it is, I'm glad I wnet at least once inside. However can somebody post a link to the article? I'm reserving judgement until I read an entire article. It's real easy to paste only portions that are not necessarily the entire story.

Thats part of the issue for me. I cant find the whole article anywhere. This is the only place I can find it.

By the way, if it is true the Club is currently denying it.

ahhhh so now I see, it's true just because a website posts it without a way of finding the actual article.
Hmmm funny how this is solid evidence when it's bad news, but should be taken lightly when it's good news. I'm not even worried now, it's certianly not official information.
