DCA Power Poles and In-Park Trans
Because you can see the UGLY electrical power cables/poles from within DCA, they needs to correct the aethetics of the park.
I propose a cable car ride. This cable car ride will be more high tech and have higher car capacity. The ride won't be a straight line. It will make a few corner turns.
The proposed stations are in Hollywood Pictures Backlot (north of Tower of Terror) and Paradise Pier (replacing Mulholland Madness).
Starting from HPB at TOT, it goes up and over Fliks Fantasy Fair. When it reaches Pacific Wharf, it turns right and heads directly over Grizzly Peaks. When it reaches Redwood Creek Trail, it turns left towards the formerly Mulholland Madness location for the cable car station.
This route avoids Paradise Bay so a lagoon show won't be interferred with. This ride will solve several issues.
1) With the cable car ride, the guests will no longer be annoyed by the outside power cables and poles.
2) Cable cars will allow an in-park transportation system, which was never included in the original design.
3) Cable car ride will re-enforce the carny atmosphere of the park. Thus people will think the carny atmosphere is GREAT!!!

Wait.. How does a cable car ride re-enforce a carny atmosphere? I'm confused here.Visit the MIBoards.com Guidelines Page for rules and regulations.
DCA is a creative and marketing failure. It's so bad, it's good. That's the unofficial motto of DCA.

Many fairs and traditional parks have cable car rides. If DCA has one, people will think its more of a traditional amusement park. Afterall, Paradise Pier is a seaside amusement park within a Disney theme park.Originally posted by driftwood714

I'd rather see a cable car/trolley system on the ground, that is more reminiscent of a San Diego or San Fransisco-type mass transit. An overhead cable car ride would be just like the skyway, and equally tacky IMHO.

I prefer the skyway. It can be made to look classy if they spend the right amount. It allows continuous service. There are cars that can hold more people to cut down on the wait. If they install lots of poles, they can allow more cars on the route.
An overhead cable car system allows great park views. When it goes over Grizzly Peak, people will get excited about the park.
Another possibility is an elevated railway. It would cost more. Again, there is the space issue.

Great idea
I like your idea - The one thing that DCA will never really be able to do it to take the outside world away. (FFF actually did a really good job) I think your idea would give the park a unique look and ride as well - yes it would have a skyway feel but I would trust that Disney would make it look unique.
