    Question Splash Mountain

I have read on different sites that SM may be using new logs... Using individual seats only fitting 5 or 6 people... Do you know if this is true and if they have already started using these logs...? I am just wondering because I have a 5 year old that loves this ride and I guess I am have safety issues with the individual seats..( not being able to phyisically hang on to him)....

Yes, there are new retrofitted logs, which they began using at the beginning of summer. They can only hold 5 people however I think you can reach around the seat to hold people you child.
    Peace

Don't forget, the new seating was installed for safety purposes. Sit the little one in front of you & you'll be fine. You can kind of reach forward to hold them but they'll be fine.

    Thanks

Thanks for the replies. I'm glad that he (my son) enjoys the rides but I guess I'm just an overprotective mom... ...Thanks again, hope to see some of you in DL over the Labor Day Weekend!

No worries Ke'ala76, protective is good, Pirate clan operates same way.....but don't sweat The Splash, it's a safe one, like most log rides.
I always figured boarding/unboarding was the place to really manage the kids, make sure they do all that safe & once there snugged down (on most any attraction) they're pretty safe.
    Have fun.
    Mahalo.
