Whatever Happened to Ursula?

Hi Guys... was wondering whatever happened to the Ursula water float from Fantasmic. I noticed she has been gone since the rehab done last Fall. Does anyone know why? I loved her glowing eyes and her moving tentacles! I was in the park last night when I thought to ask here if anyone has information.

Man, I've only been to DL onece and that was last summer! I wish I would of seen that float or the whole show. I missed it !

Fantasmic! was never designed to be a stage show that lasted more then 4-5 years. Obviously, it has been around much longer. Some elements of the show were better maintained the others, with the Ursula float being one of those that was ill-maintained. She was the weakest link.

Well... I think the people responsible for maintaining her is the weakest link and they should be removed (and replaced)! How old is Fantasmic anyway?? I was on a plane back from WDW last year and a guy was beside himself that I didn't see Fantasmic at MGM. He also didn't believe we've had it for "years"... just don't remember how many years. I bet the MGM version has an Ursula! I remember seeing the media preview on TV of it and then going to see it the day after.

I loved that part too... I can't beleive she was just dropped out of the show! Maybe they'll find some extra money and recreate her to add back in.

I know you are going to have a jaw-dropping moment now, but Disneyland's Fantasmic! opened on May 15th, 1992. Next year is it's 10th anniversary! It's amazing to me that it's been that long. I do know that have had problems in the past with the Ursula barge. It's an inflatable Baloon with moving parts. It's amazing it actually works when it does! Oh well, Happy 4th of July to all of you, I'll see some of you at the park later !!!

Wow Karma! 10 Years??? (Jaw dropped) I can't believe it's that long either. If you could... what would you change or add for the 10th anniversary??? I would add Ursula back... that would satisfy me

Wow 10 years, that's almost hard to believe. Doesn't seem like it's been that long. Still remember when I saw Fantasmic it's first year, man I'm getting old

It is kinda sad the Ursula float is history, it was definitely cool.

When I was last in Florida which was Feb.2000 I din't see any Ursala Float Ben. How is the Captain Hook Battel? Never Saw it! Only in Florida! They only have Pocohantis (wasn't the greatest)
