Hold on just a darn minute...

They took out the themed walls/gates in the Toontown Depot and replaced them with boring metal railing?

    WHAT?

(The railings were previously themed right?)
    Just here. Nowhere.

Seth Cohen: It was a liitle weird. And not like kinky weird, more like akward. But hey, you know what? It was my first time, she's a more experienced woman, that's to be expected. But I did make some faces in the middle that I wish I could take back but I can't and there was also a sort of whiny noise that came out at the end that probaly wasn't my finest hour and...I sucked so bad! I was like a fish flopping around on dry land. I was Nemo and I just wanted to go home.

Yes, they were themed to look like a wooden fence.

Great pictures. What's the plan with the Carousel? I knew it was on the refurbishment schedule, but I had no idea they had taken it down quite so much. Any ideas?
I can't wait to see It's a Small World all decorated for the holidays. I have never been to DLR at that time.

It doesn't look like it will. It looks like they have taken the entire ride apart (judging from the pictures). I am planning to be at DLR on Nov. 23 and it is still showing it on the refurbishment schedule then. I have no idea how reliable those schedules are, but like I said, it doesn't look like it's going to be opening.
Oh well, there is so much more to do and we can always check out King Tritons Carousel in DCA, right? I have never been to DCA so I am looking forward to that.

In regards to King Arthur's Carrousel, over on the Newer Rehab dates thread, it is listed as TBD, On some of the rehab lists that Disney puts out, the date is January 30th. I would expect not to see it back running until then, if not a little later.

I don't care for the new railing in the train depot, but I bet it'll be easier to maintain now. The Carrousel is looking great, that new steel frame is probably what's been taking so long, they had to engineer that from scratch I imagine, then have each piece of steel custom made. I'm impressed and I'm glad they're doing it, that'll ensure that it's there for many decades to come for families to enjoy. I'm very happy that they're taking the time to do it right. And how about that painting, very slick, I had no realized the hills had faded that much. They're doing a great job on that.
