Wow...you're 2-4 years behind on thinking of this one...do yourself a favor and build a time machine, go back a few years, and you'll be right in the middle of discussion. Well, since that's entirely impossible, let's just say that it was discussed quite a while ago and the answer for now is no...

Thats one of the few Disney movies i never saw.. that and treasure planet..

Interesting that after all that speculation the subs did come back but not like some people said. (Just a few plastic fish if they could afford to buy more molds )

The subs came back as Nemo but with lots of elements on a movie everyone considers a flop "Atlantis"
From the looks of it the whole lagoon area outisde the cavern will have a big influence from that movie. It would be cool if they added an animtronic Leviathon that tries to tear apart the sub and makes Nemo and friends frantic.

Maybe Bruce could chase Aerial and find out that sharks are not mermaids best friends. At the end of the ride we all get free fish sticks.

The props they are installing in the lagoon are remakes from the original Sub ride. Don't you remember.... "Helmsman! Steer clear of the tottering columns!".

Al Lutz said a few months ago that the first minute or two of the new ride would be a ripoff of the old ride, with a cheesy 1950's captain doing the very serious dialogue. Then when they turn on the sonar hydrophones to "hear the fish talk", we meet Mr. Ray who turns the whole 1959 ride on it's ear and begins the wacky, 21st century Finding Nemo version of Submarine Voyage.

The building they are constructing in the lagoon is for the Mr. Ray show scene, and the stuff along the track before that is remakes of original props from 1959. At least that's what Lutz said a few months ago. But recent construction pics seem to support that rumor.

Here's another topic from years past. We all know (or I hope you all know by now) that Nemo is the theme for the subs. I'm going to put this to bed with the other thread. Kinky, I know, but we're open minded here.
