I'm surprised. I thought that wasn't coming until later.

Actually. . .

Try a two year Rehab. It wasn't supposed to be until later but for some reason ( which I'm still not sure of ) they closed it early. They had already opened it to guests and everything, gave out FP's then all of a sudden they closed it. Everyone had to be turned away. Bummer.

Yeah, 24 months is the same as two years. 12 months in a year, 12x2=24.

From what I understand, the funding came in earlier than planned.

While it may be disappointing that you won't be able to get in a "final" ride, this is actually a good thing since it guarantees that the ride will re-open for Disneyland's 50th.

I realized. . .

Yeah I realized that I had not done the math correctly. I apologize. Overly tired with getting only 4 hours of sleep the night before then waking up and working for about 8 hours, but since I live kind of far from Disney, I would of been up for about 10-12 hours. Wasn't thinking correctly. lol.

Ah.

So they didn't even find anything wrong? That's interesting.

Guess I got my final ride a year and a half ago (gee time flies).

I remember when it first opened, it was a really wild ride. Best rollercoaster around, and it only had that one small dip which is great for me. The decor was great.

I rode the newly modified PeopleMover before first going on it to see what was inside. They were pretty proud of this attraction when it opened, and it had a terrifically long line.

I never really cared for the Starcade, though. It immediately struck me that I could play the same games at any 7-Eleven.

I'm not much of a roller coaster rider, but this was such an exhilirating rush that I had to go on it a couple extra times (burning E tickets every time, thank goodness tickets are gone).

So, since I wasn't much of a coaster fanatic, I was pretty apprehensive about riding it. I wrapped my camera strap around my hand as tight as it would go, in case I might lose it on this thing, and went on.

It was great. But after I got off, my hand had all these red marks on it from the strap. I had wrapped the thing so tightly on my hand, and was holding on so hard to the bar in front of me, that the thing had started to dig into my skin.

I noticed in the later years that after going on it about 3 or 4 times in a row very quickly (when there was no line) produced severe dizzyness, so I kind of cut back on my visits, and of late almost never go on it. That's age for you.

I hope they do something good with this new version.
