Hello guys/Gals........


Just thought we'd look back some months ago when Flicks opened up and some on the boards had something to say about Flicks Fun Fair and its location next to the animation and TOT building.

It looks like some planning had been done and all we had to do is wait a bit.

The biggest complain was on why Disney did not go through the extra expense on dressing up the back of animation building to fit with Flicks Fun Fair.

Some information was that it might benefit redressing later for the TOT view better.

Many complained about how bad Tower and its creams would be as a bad show for a kids area. Well it looks like by the time TOT it might not be the big problem everyone kept complaing about.

It has been 8 months since some of the landscaping was planted around Flicks fun fair. After roaming the park on Sunday afternoon i decided to go inside the area and see how the schrubery was doing.

Well guess what most of the Bamboo Barrier has grown quite a bit. In many areas the Bamboo has overgrown the clovers and have made them look evenmore weed like and blend in more to the area.

Most of the animation building is almost unseanable and in several areas near the Dot's play area the Tower is beginning to look like a shadow in the background. Once you reach areas near the Lady bug and flicks flyers TOT is almost blocked. Also remember that eventhough the TOT building is huge lots of its large massive bulky frame will be gone once the metal framing being used for the construction will come down as well as thelarge capes making the bulding less clunky.

I took several pictures and hope they link to the topic board.

What do you guys that had these harsh criticism about the area think about how well the area is filling in? The minor details that were most likely considered by imagineers way in advance but just needed some time to develop naturally are working. Does this make us think about coming to harsh conlclusions without thinking ahead?

You are very right! By the time Tower opens it will be very hard to see from within the land.

just a couple more pictures i hope it is ok the red line on pictures shows the top of some of the bambbo since the pictures are not extremely well.

i did notice one thing though, thelast picture i will post shows how it lkooks from sitting under the four leaf clover. the tower is quite visible. for some reason the bamboo there is not growing as fast as the rest of the areas boundaries

i do have to admit i was probably one of the persons that was worried about the animation building being so big next to the area and new it would eventually be covered by the bamboo but had no idea it would start happening so soon.


the tower of terror i was not to concern because i tought it would make it look like an overgrown garden for the tower andmake me feel even smaller


so what does everyone else think.


I have to thank the mouseinfo staff for leeting me place these picture on the boards. i took some other nice pictures of the garden area lit up at night with the characters if anyone is interested as well as the playhouse building lights and window displays on.

Distance... at least that's how they cover it in MGM. You don't hear the screams there untill you get to the start of the que. At least, that's what I remember.
