OK so anyone know when or if this bland carpet they have out now in main lobby will be replaced. It was always neat how old casrpet blended with the tiles and I know it probably takes forever for a new carpet but it's been 6 months. I'm thinking maybe once the 50th is over.

I'm wagering it will be done before the 75th birthday.
Or immediately following the departure of Smiffy should he stay there.Just because we're at war, doesn't mean we can't be civilised...

It has been mentioned before that the lobby furniture is due to be replaced in the next year or so, and the new carpet will be installed then.

As you know, the carpet was quite a customized, detailed carpet, matching with the marble surrounding floor. They had plans to replace it within the next year, regardless of the fire damage. But, it cannot be recreated quickly, so they are sticking on the same schedule.

The replacement may happen before the end of the year.

Thats nice to hear. The new carpet does look quite plain and out of place.
Will the nystery writer that will come back to Mouseinfo maybe give us an update sometime about the second phase of DTD and maybe the addition of new rooms for the GCH.
DVC rooms?

Here are just a couple of my photos from right before the fire for nostalgia purposes.

What does the carpet look like now?
I don't think I've been in the lobby since last Christmas before the fire.
