after hearing about this cm falling i think they should redo the sceens where they have robert & vincent hooked with riggers & the flying carpet, cuz one false mishap & robert & vincent will be the next cms going to the hospital. i like those sceens but is it worth risking other people's lives just to put on a good show. i don't think so.

I disagree, the problem is the own person's fault, sorry, but had he made sure that his restraint was properly attached to the cat walk it wouldn't have happened. This is a case of stupidity, you do NOT walk on a catwalk without a restraint on and having it attached to the catwalk. As for the "flying" as it would be refered to at least, that is actually completely safe, again, assuming that person doing it double checks thier own restraints, even if someone else is supposedly checking them, you need to make sure for your own sake! That is the simple truth, it simple:
You are walking on a platform that is about 3'-6' wide (Depending on which one) that is 40'-90' (There is still some speculation as to exactly how far the person fell, but that is beside the point at the moment) off the ground, make sure you have your restraints on and that they are attached to something that will prevent you from failling!

Don't change the show. From what I read, the problem was a stage hand that was not using the safety gear that he had. It had nothing to do with the cast of the show.
I am sure that all safety precautions are taken for all the cast and crew. Iam sure Disney does not want an accident to happen especially during a show.

You are 100% right chefjim, truly the flying carpet has so many safety harnesses it's pathetic, I wonder if Aladdin and Jasmine can even move from where there are at on the carpet, we have had flying scenes in shows for a long, long time, and this isn't a case where someone got hurt during a rehersal of one of those scenes, this is a case of someone falling from the catwalk.

exactly...you guys have no idea what happened..and yet you talk like you were in on the investigation...he didnt fall from the catwalk...and its quite heartless of you to say its his own fault..try some compassion...he is a part of the aladdin family over there, and i truly feel sorry for the performers who had to go on today..it must have been atrocious for them, knowing that one of their own was fighting for his life...and if you truly knew everything about the show, you would know that the performers dont feel safe...ive talked to alot of them, and its been an issue from day one.
