Well...we've been busy these last few weeks, and out of town as well, so we just had our first ride on "Pooh" this past weekend, and gotta tell y'all, we were pleasantly surprised. We were prepared to be disapointed due to some (not all) of the stuff I had read on here. Now, we're not Pooh fans at all, but when WDW opened thier version of the ride, we ended up really enjoying it. I love dark rides (some of my earliest DL memories are of Mr. Toad) and I thought WDW's Pooh was a cute, and well-done dark ride, even superior to a couple of the older Fantasyland rides. Now, in comparison, DL's "Pooh" is even better. The queue is more enveloping, the ride vehicles are more creative and charming. Inside the ride, we were impressed with the rain effects, the honey whirlpool, Pooh's "out of body experience" (much better than WDW's) and the use of the large space. No, Pooh isn't the best thing Disney has done, but it is what it is, an excellent dark ride. On the way out of the park we even stopped into City Hall to give Kudos. Anyway, that's my input, just wanted to share. We're still not Pooh fans, but we're now Pooh-ride fans.
Thanks for the attention, watch your head and step.![]()

Interesting. Glad to hear you liked it. This makes me optimistic about it since I usually agree with your opinions on rides etc.. Can't wait to see it this summer (I hope).

Thanks, hippie. I think you and your kids will enjoy it. Our only complaint might be, that it is on the short side. Also, do Fastpass, or you'll wait, and wait, and wait, and wait...

I rode Pooh last week for the first time. I'm not a big Pooh fan either, so I wasn't expecting anything great. Still, I thought it was charming. It's probably not something I'd ride again unless there was no line, though. I love the dark rides (yes, I even liked Superstar Limo...). I've never been on any of the other Pooh rides, so I have nothing to compare it to except the other Disneyland dark rides. But it wasn't nearly as horrific as I was expecting it to be. I actually thought a lot of the effects were pretty amazing.

I think many of the effects are great. Especially the rainy day scene. That's NOT real water!Just here. Nowhere.

I too look forward to riding the ride I don't know when but someday I will! I love Winnie the Pooh and Dark rides so I'm sure this will be the perfect combination!!

I really enjoyed "The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh." I felt it was a lot more advanced than any of the Fantasyland darkrides and was a perfect replacement for CBJ.

I have never seen a ride with more mixed experiences. SOme say WDW is beter, some say this is better, some hate them all. But we all must admit, TDR BEATS THEM BOTH SEVERELY!
