Is the infrastructure still in place or was it completely demolished in order to put in the Pizza Port?

That’s too bad, I was under the impression that only the queue was used for the restaurant.

I think Explorer Club is correct. Don't forget, Pizza Port has to have kitchens, so it takes up more space than just the dining area. If memory serves, I believe most, but not all, of the old attraction space is used up by Pizza Port.

OK, but what happened to Mr. Johnson and those creepy space technicians?

Btw...I'm sure the "basements," i.e. the theater pits, could have been filled in, but that doesn't mean that they couldn't have still used the same, existing building. dlport's right, as far as needing space for the kitchen....

They were ripped out unceremoniously and tossed into unused buildings.
There were pictures of it on the net after it closed. They showed the big glass window in front of mission control smashed, as well as all the tv screens that showed the film in the area.
It looked like a team of crazed chimps ran through the place with a bunch of sledge hammers.
I later saw a photo of Mr. Johnson in pieces and discarded, like something out of the flesh faire in A.I. He was (if I recall) tossed aside into the old America Sings building somewhere. You may contact me via jonvn@nadelberg.com.

Actually, if you go into the basement of the Pizza Port you can still see the steel structure of the old "pits". The basement is just used for storage now.Originally posted by Explorer'sClub
