    Trip Report 10-14-06

Overall, a great day in the park for me. Weather was great, it only drizzled really for about 20 minutes, but had sunny skies most of the day. Stayed at the Travelodge International something. Comfy beds, but really bad parking issues. Unless you plan on getting to the hotel early in the day, plan on double parking during the night. But for $70 a night, can't complain too much.

I was there with my wife and three other friends. We had a plan to hit as much as we could all day. Although it was by no means an empty day at the park, we were able to get on everything we wanted to, mainly by getting there at 8am and taking advantage of Fastpass as much as we could. We actually had a plan written down with estimated times of completion. Yes, you could say that we had been anticipating this trip for a while! Anyways, other than "Remember", we were able to ride and see everything we had on our list. We didn't leave the park till about 1am, and we were just able to see the last showing of the 50th film before they closed. The "Remember" fireworks were cancelled due to high winds at high altitudes, which really bummed us out, but we took advantage and got on as many rides as we could before the park closed. Heres a list of everything we rode and saw:

    Space Mountain (3 times)
    Buzz Lightyear (2 times)
    Peter Pan
    Alice in Wonderland
    Mr. Toad's Wild Ride
    BTMRR (2 times)
    Tarzan's Treehouse
    Indiana Jones (3 times)
    Jungle Cruise
    Tiki Room
Pirates of the Caribbean (2 times)
    Haunted Mansion
    Splash Mountain
    Winnie the Pooh
    Pinocchio
    Snow White
    Storybook Land
    It's a Small World
    Roger Rabbit
    Gadget's Go Coaster
    Star Tours
    Honey, I shrunk the audience
    Disneyland Railroad
    Mad Tea Party
50th Film at Main St Opera House

Crowds were present mostly everywhere like I said before, but we got to do a lot of stuff early by getting there early. We used Fastpass on the Mountains primarily, so we never waited more than 15 minutes on any of the major rides. I don't think we ever had to wait more than 20 minutes on any ride. The longest wait we had might have been at Gadget's Go-Coaster. But again, that was probably less than 20 minutes. Most wait times were over-estimated, so it was usually faster than what was posted. I think the longest line we had to cope with was the lunch line at the Hungry Bear!! 30 minutes just to get food!! They really need to come up with a better way to work that place, it felt like an eternity!! Overall though, a great day at the park. 9 out of 10, only because they cancelled "Remember".

Well, other than Remember, I can't really complain too much. The last ride we did was Space Mountain, and the only reason we got to ride it 3 times is because we got the Cast Members to let us go twice in a row at the end! That was a nice way to end the day!

Great report. We were there Saturday afternoon and evening. It was a beautiful day! And though there were crowds, we were still able to do a lot too. Glad you had a great trip djuarez. We were bummed about the fireworks too. As soon as I saw them put the Matterhorn back together that night, I knew it was cancelled.
BTW, did you see my son in the 50th movie? He is the blue power ranger at the end of the movie that comes up after Walt Disney!!
    I miss Animazement!!!

It's INCREDIBLE how many rides you went on in one day. Good to hear you had a great day.
