Fastpass Question

Recently I was at the resort and started talking to some people from Florida that were at DL for the first time after being at the resort in Florida dozens of times. We got on the subject of fastpasses and they told me that in Florida you can use fastpasses on future days and don't have to use them the day you get them. The gentleman had a wallet full of them and he showed me one. He said even tho they say on them (as do the ones at our parks) that they are good that day only, he has always used them with no problem on a different day. Even one time when a ride broke down, the gave him and his wife a stack of fastpasses to use in the future as an apology. Has anyone ever tried to use an old fastpass here at DL? I haven't tried yet and always throw the unused ones away at the end of the day unless I find someone to give them to first. I was just curious what the policy is here?

Not on purpose, but grabed wrong set out of wallet from the previous day. CM said sorry, these have expired. It was either BTMR or Indy.

I have never heard of any Disney park having that policy.

maybe the cms in WDW are either lazy or dont read so good?
