While I think a Memorial Day announcement may be a bit of wishful thinking on Al's part, I'm happy to see that Buzz will probably be making his way to Tomorrowland.

has this even been green-lit yet?

No it hasn't. Nothing's been finalized, which is why there's still such varied rumors. Sources are conflicting simply because no one knows quite yet.

No, it hasn't been green-lit yet as far as I know. But if we're getting a new attraction in Tomorrowland for the 50th, it's going to be Buzz.

I'm hoping they can use some of the exsisting peoplemover track for the new Buzz (if it happens), maybe utilizing the upstairs or downstairs of the old arcade as well as the circlevision building.
But I realize there's really no chance of something like that happening. Shame, because I miss the kinetic old TL.
As far as Innoventions is concerned, they should just raze the structure (and the old Skyway Station) and start from scratch.

ahhhhh that would suck. Its a sweet building and has a classic feel. I dont think it would be too expensive just to redo the inside...AGAIN. To put a huge ride in there. I would love to have Horizons or Spaceship Earth put in there. Its classic, and would be a shame to have it lost cause Epcots not pullin in the thrill seekers. FINE, move one of them to INnoventions. A nice, long, disney, dark ride, themed to the future. What a concept.

05-18-2003 11:32 AM #37That's what I miss most; Tomorrowland used to be "a world on the move." Look at how many attractions used to add to the sense of motion / transportation:Originally posted by misteriago

Skyway
People Mover (Rocket Rods)
Monorail
Subs
Autopia
Rocket Jets
Now we're down to three, on the periphery of the land....

I think the fact that nobody(especially Michael) has given a rebuttal is a good sign. Normally, if this had no truth, multiple knowedgable people would have called him a moron(in their own words, of course
) I liked Buzz because it is one of the few dark rides I have ever been on where everyone in the family really enjoys it.
I know this was just their cheap themeing, but isn't their cardboard in Buzz because it's supposed to look like a toy box or something?City Hall Complaint Count: 201

Are the figures (cardboard or not) based off of the movie or the tv series?

The movies.
