I was listening to a CM on the shuttle today. He had just come from a lead meeting at DCA. They want the park to be up an running on January 6th. that will be the WDI party. I think its 2 or 3 days. After that it will be all soft openings and private parties until February 8th.

That's good news.. Will you be going over to DCA when it opens? I have a friend who hired into DCA Attractions and she begins her training on Nov 25th. She doesn't know what's happening next (if she's working DCA or DL until DCA's opening), but she's excited. I'm going in for my 2nd interview on Tuesday. If hired, I will be working both parks, I hope...

Yeah i'm gonna go over to DCA. I don't know when though. I don't even know where. But it will be in attractions. As for working both parks sorry to say it won't happen. They told us that if we go to DCA we can't work our attractions at DL. But i think that with DL being short of people the lucky ones who came from DL will still work their old attractions.

Any overheard comments about how soon Downtown Disney will be open? surely if they plan on opening by Jan.6, they will have that area open as well? maybe for Christmas?

Downtown Disney is looking more and more like it will be completed before the New Year. Keep your fingers crossed and your Christmas Shopping List handy!

I know Disney is going to make a huge deal with the grand opening for DCA...but did they make a big deal when they opened Animal Kingdom at WDW?
