This isn't necessarily dealing with the expansion.....it's more of an upgrade. Plus, it's been rumored LONG before any major expansion plans were confirmed for DCA.

It would make sense for them to do the upgrade during the construction at DCA to get people in the gate. Summer 2009 is a perfect time.

However, depending on how long the upgrade takes, it would be a major E ticket not working when they need it the most.

Well, it shouldn't take too long I presume. Anyone know how long it took for the TOT in FL to get the upgrades?

They could do it one shaft at a time, I believe. That's the beauty of that ride, you don't have to shut the whole thing down, I believe the shafts can be programed independently.

Honestly, why can't the Imagineers shut up and just do it already. DCA is failing, and all they're doing is "planning".

I wouldn't go so far as to say DCA is failing though it could clearly do better

my annoyance would actually be that I don't find this change to be THAT big a deal, maybe I'm wrong but I don't see it being that marketable especially since most people aren't aware that the ride has two flavors so like we've already seen in this thread many already think the ride is randomly generated and won't really notice that it isn't unless they spam rides while at the resort

if they'd wanted a mild year they could've done last year with the Nemo launching in DL I don't remember DCA getting much then

either way it's not going to strike the radar much more then say this change in the Playhouse Disney show probably even less since this won't really effect the show scenes or much else of the ride

Well, planning is the beginning of creating.
