Many of the living trees in Storybook Land are normal plant species stunted with a calcium oxide enriched soil.
The lighthouse next to the queue used to be a ticket booth. One of only three that remain from the ticket era. The other two? The toadstool in the queue of Alice (where the control panel area is), and the small building at the entrance of Casey Jr.

I am sure I heard all of those facts on various podcasts. I listen to about a half dozen so I couldn't tell you exactly where I heard it. I looked online for some pictures, here is one of the 'ticket booth' Lighthouse.
Here is a picture from 1955. You can see the Casey Jr ticket booth in the bottom left hand corner. I found both of these pictures thru davelandblog. Here is a link: Davelandblog I could not find any pictures of the toadstool. If you Google it you will find many people mention it in articles about the the ticket era.

For Mr. Toad's Wild ride during the line on the inside of the building there are classic hidden mickeys painted inside the eyes of the Mr. Toad statue.
In the line for Indiana Jones. Shake the bamboo pole that is out of place inside the spike room. The ceiling will begin to close down on you. (you have to shake it pretty hard) |
