Free Admission on Your Birthday!
Start your birthday off right with the most magical birthday present of all: free admission on your birthday during 2009 at Disneyland® Resort*! It's our gift to you and it all begins right here.
To get this wonderful birthday gift for yourself or your children, follow these simple steps:
- Register yourself—and your children too, if you want.
- Print the reminder email with its confirmation message that you will receive 2 weeks prior to your birthday to redeem free admission on your birthday in 2009.
- Bring proper ID and your confirmation message to the Vacation Planning booths outside the main entrance to the Disneyland® Resort Theme Parks.
- If you are a Passholder or already have a Multi-Day ticket you will use on your birthday, go ahead and register and bring the free admission on your birthday confirmation and proper ID to the gate so you can choose from one of our other exciting birthday gifts instead. (see FAQs for details).
If you're an AP you can bring your free birthday ticket and redeem it for:
- A birthday fun card in an amount equal to the price of a 1-day One Day/One Park base ticket* for you to use on your birthday for merchandise, recreation or fun activities at select participating locations at Disneyland® Resort; or
- A special birthday FASTPASS® ticket+ for certain attractions at the Theme Park you visit on your birthday; or
- A 1-day One Day/One Park base ticket for you to use any time until your next birthday.
Free admission is valid at either Disneyland or Walt Disney World for any of the parks. The free admission on your birthday offer means just what it says. It's only valid for free admission on your birthday (DOB only) in 2009. The offer is good from January 1, 2009 until December 31, 2009. Here's the direct link for more information. You can also get there by visiting DisneyParks.com
This of course is for next year's Celebration marketing campaign. You can visit www.disneyparks.com/celebrate for more information.

I'm addicted to Disneyland. Disneyland hobbies are expensive. If I become a bum people are going to say "Don't give him money, he's just gonna use it on Disneyland."

Does this apply to your average schmoe? I don't have an AP or anything, and live in Minnesota. Therefore, your typical tourist.
A free day at Disneyland might be fun next August, maybe meet some of you folks finally?"I like maxims that don't encourage behavior modification."

New Parade - "Celebrate Today!" to premiere in Spring, 2009
As part of today's "What will you Celebrate?" marketing campaign announcement, they promoted the fact that both Disneyland and WDW will get a new parade starting in the Spring of 2009.
The website www.disneyparks.com/celebrate has a small plug on it, but no real details.Check out my photos at http://darkbeer.smugmug.com

Well, it's not technically a "parade"...they're referring it to it as a "street party" as it will not be replacing POD at DL or DDCT at MK. But it sounds like it could be a lot of fun!

Of course it applies to you, the entire first half of the post was for people w/o APs. Before reading it all I thought it only applied to non-AP guests, because obviously free entry is rather silly if you have one. That's why they included special gift cards and what not.
I think this is an awesome deal! I hope they spread the word on this and people are aware of it.

Good Lord this is brilliant. People will be lured by the free ticket for the birthday boy/girl and the whole rest of the party will have to pay full price.
I just hope they don't muck up the parks with hideous decorations like they did wth YOAMD.Jaleel White does not approve.

And if you've got three kids, the whole family has to go three times, because once Cletus gets in on his birthday, Jedediah and Bobbie Jo will have to go on theirs.
