Well there is a pretty strong vocal "movement". Entire websites were created over this change, not to mention the mood on some of the discussion boards.

I would love to see Disney use this money to bulid a new E-ticket, except there is no room at all for this to occur.

I would also love for them to use the money to improve other rides (Like Indiana Jones) but to have a huge ride like that closed for a long time won't work.

But I don't sit here pouting about it. I move on with my life. I suggest people who hate the ride to do it too. It's rather unhealthy to keep all this hate with them, especially on something as stupid as a ride.

There is room for a new land like Discovery Bay. Innoventions could be renovated into an E-Ticket attraction. Half of Autopia could be done away with to create space. Then there's always going outside the berm. Move some backstage facilities around or put them underground, like costuming. Hell, I would even be okay with getting rid of Small World entirely for a brand new state of the art E-Ticket. That's the kind of change I want to see.

People did without Space Mountain for two years. But then again it had to close suddenly without warning to rebuild the track due to poor maintenance. The additions were an afterthought.

I thought, along with DVC, that the hotel would expand as well.
Also, don't they have an interest in the new Anaheim City Walk/mall/whatever it is on the east side?

Also, hotel occupancy at DL hotels is at 80-85%, even in this bad economy.

No, we're saying people are being overly dramatic and complainers when simply stating your opinion isn't enough. When opinions of those that actually may like something that some other people don't like is, rather than accepted, is actually tried time and again to be proven wrong. As if someone's opinion CAN be proven wrong.
And this website is littered with the dead horses that have been beaten by some people here.

Yes, but there was no movement to ban the ride. And no such protest web sites will ever work. It didn't work for Save Toad or Small World, and it won't work in the future.

The only time it ever worked was for Imagination v2.0 and bringing back Figment.

And while we still don't like the final result, they spent a pretty penny on redoing the ride again to fix the "mistake."

I never said anything about stating it only one time. I did mention something about beating a dead horse, though, Mr. Save the Rain Forest.
