Do you guys think there will be some kind of overlay or addition for Princess and the frog?

To the Celebrate Street party thing...?
I would think not, just because the film doesn't come out until early December, and by then "A Christmas Fantasy" would be running.
But I could see some sort of pre-parade for sure...it is a return to the classic Disney-style musical. I could also see them doing a musical stage show for the film, much like they did back during the Disney musicals of the 90's. When you have a musical style film, there seems to easily be more ways to promote the property throughout the park in terms of entertainment...though with Disney these days, and the economic/budget situations, who knows what they will do now.
The other rumor was that the Princess and the Frog is supposed to be in the World of Wonder Parade next year, though.

I wouldn't be surprised if they throw her and some sort of mini show into the Princess Fantasy Faire. Even something super minor that turns into a greeting at the end.
New Orleans Square is so packed and crowded, I'd hate to see her squeezed in there the way they did Jack and the Ratatouille characters. Maybe they'll give Queenie the boot for a while and have her as part of the Mardi Gras moments with the Jambalaya Jazz band.
Or how neat would it be if they had the meet and greet in the Dream Suite.
Logistical nightmare if for the queue alone, still seems like it would be fun and thematically appropriate too... maybe have a photo-op on the patio and set up the living room with concept art and stills.

no not the street party thing just as an overall what's next for Disneyland kind of thing.
I know that "UP"s float is being worked on already not sure yet if it will run before the street party thing or before Pixar Play Parade. I know that the float would fit well within the celebrate decor though. The balloons fit well with both themes

I'm surprised nobody has commented on Al's latest article yet.
Supposedly (and this is just a rumor at this point) PoD might have a chance to return this summer. I guess time would tell, but I definitely wouldn't complain if they went to the original plan of running both CASP and PoD.LIKE us at Facebook.com/MouseInfo

It would be great to see both playing and even greater if then updated the show stop with the "Celebrate You" song.

With the addition of those new LED lights on top of the original parade lights at the show stops along the route, that seems to support the street party may end up performing in the evening sometime soon. Those new lights are aimed high, so it looks like they are meant to light the balloons and balloon characters on the floats. Even on "slow" days before summer in May when the street party will be shown only at 7pm, it will not be dark then. So they would not need to put those lights up unless they were already preparing for night time showings. So this may further support Al's claims that POD may come back in the afternoon and have the street party at night. I bet it would be much better at night if they did this. The lighting and all would really make it like a dance party. Guess we'll see!

As I understand it, prior to the POD getting canned it was to come back with the "Celebrate You" song. It was to be the same version used in the Magic Kingdom's parade show stop.
I really hope it comes back with the new song. I'd love to see the parade again and the song is great.
