Time to go the distance and head to the Disneyland Resort.
What's that thing above the Grizzly bear head?
With the one person looking up at the hubcap, it reminds me of one of those publicity stills ^
Wow! That's one big crane ^
Looks like the start of the star burst ^
The stencil for the sun burst ^
close up of what it will become ^
An even closer look ^
The top of the carousel turning out nicely with fresh paint ^
Probably will be the family-friendliest bathrooms San Fran will ever have ^
Someone must have thought this was a pinata of some sort. No candy will fall from it though ^
Starting to get busy... time to head to Disneyland ^
Looks like Walt is getting into the Celebration spirit ^
It's a party Castle! ^
New signage for the shop ^
"Your admission prices at work" ^
Cinderella looks so innocent ^
Once opened, you little ones may look like one of these ...
![]()
A Princess Diva or a Pop Princess ^
Went to go check out the Thunder Ranch Celebration thing and it wasn't even opened yet. Doing a lot of last minute touches
I'll check out the actual ranch for the time being ^
Are these signs new??? ^
The rest can be found at the Gallery
The crane in the background ^
Went back to the Celebration Ranch...
Come on Billy.. they aren't opened yet, I can't wait all day, and we have Fast Passes to use.
Didn't bother with it any more today.
Don't remember seeing this little fella in the back window of the peep window inside Sleeping Beauty Castle ^
Make it Blue!
Make it Pink
That's about it for today

Aren't you funny? I was just thinking to myself "Hey, I wonder if Mint has a new update" and lo and behold, a few seconds later here it is!
Anywho, I love the progression of Paradise Pier (especially the Screamin' sun circle and games) but the photoshopped pictures of Walt and the castle kind of creeped me out because I'm sure they've considered doing that at one point...
Excellent update as usual, Mint.Yes, our world has indeed become a world of motion. We have engineered marvels that take us swiftly over land and sea, through the air, and into space itself. And still bolder and better ideas are yet to come. Ideas that will fulfill our age old dream to be free. Free in mind. Free in spirit. Free to follow the distant star of our ancestors to a brighter tomorrow. - World of Motion (1982-1996)

Does her dress really change colors in the book or did you photoshop that? I really hope that is real.

okay i have a question regarding paradise bay... the huge black platform/stage being built for world of color- is that always going to be that elevated? will that make the bay look shallow? that's some pretty impressive technology going on if all of that is for lights and fountains. very interesting... i guess i just wasn't expecting an underwater "stage" to be built.
and has anyone else noticed that the sky blue in the sunburst matches the little flags/weathervanes on midway mania's rooftops? i assume it will be sky blue and not darker... does anyone else have the details?Once a year we love to drop inWhere the beer is never stoppinFor the chance to pop some popinjayAnd pick a king who'll put the "top" inTopsy Turvy Day!

Very nice, thanks for the update!!
I was also thinking that maybe they should have some water in the bay go under the World of Color viewing area to make it look Pier-ish."Take What You Can, Give Nothin' Back!"- Captain Jack Sparrow
