As reported on 3/26, the tarp wall and black top finally gave way to what looks like a tram route ^
New handicapped parking spot ^
Large enough sign for the prices ^
Was another busy day at the ticket booths
California Adventure was getting a nice size crowd ^
In case you didn't know ^
Mickey's Ears ^
The sun burst looks like it's almost done ^
Close up ^
At this time, they were starting on the head ^
The transition from the new and old boardwalk ^
To the CM's defense, there were people getting their cards ready to play the game. And she was waiting for them to get all settled ^
One of the game cards. Play cards are used so that there is no exchange of cash between the Cast Member and the Guest. There are different designs based from the actual games ^
Guests getting the play cards ^
Where hooks once were are now replayed with screws ^
This way to the Pressler era boardwalk shops ^
Looking back towards the carnival shop store fronts and the themed victorian boardwalk midway game fronts ^
The Maliboomer won't be going anywhere anytime soon. One reason, there is about 200 feet of shaft below ground and it would take a lot of work to dig it out.
More work on the face ^
These are going to be the biggest set of bathrooms in any Disney park. Supposedly there are going to be 50 stalls (not sure if that is an exaggeration or an actual number fact). Disney is expecting between 9,000 and 10,000 to be in that area so they are preparing themselves ^
In July, the Blue Sky Cellar will be getting a new exhibit ^
Mickey is looking a little blue ^
Are these people in line to get a special assistant card? Complain that the parks are too busy? ^
Not enough crowds to close off the Magic Kingdom ^
It's like a dream ... a wonderful dream come true ^
Village Haus... packed! ^
The Celebration Ranch.. not so much. This was at 12:30pm ^
Hopefully the new ads being made for the resort hotel televisions might get Guests into the area. ^
"Hello, I'm Sandra. Join me as I give you an up close look at Celebration Roundup and bbq at Big Thunder Ranch. Just click on Disney Travel on Demand and then What Will You Celebrate" ^
Making sure that NO ONE gets in without paying. So with that kind of service attitude, I'm gonna head home ^

The only thing I wish they would have done is get rid of that freak-e looking clown on the boardwalk.Today's going to be a beautiful, busy day, and "we must keep our aim constantly focused on the future." —Walt Disney

Just curious... how much were the boardwalk games? Is it now $5 to play each one? Can you pay just enough for a game, or do they rip you off by say having each game be 300 points so if you want to play two you have to buy 1000 worth of points?
Also, I'm pretty familiar with the construction of S&S space shots like the Maliboomer, and can say without a doubt that there is not 200 feet of shaft underneath them. Maybe 200 feet of conduit for electrical cabling and what not, but not 200 feet of "shaft" below the towers. So there.

Each game seems to take 250 credits. So with a $5.00 minimum, you can play two games.
Yeah, maybe it's just all the cables and all that stuff. All I can remember is that there's a lot of stuff for it underneath it and it's like 200 feet below and that's why it would be a challenge to take it outVisit My Blog for Pictorials and blogs about Disney

Again, it's not 200 feet below. There is no reason to put anything that deep. Think about an underground parking structure. Now imagine that underground parking structure being 15 floors down. Just doesn't happen.
So there.
