Happy 9th Birthday to DCA!
Amazing, no comment in the Monday MiceAge (Dateline Disney) and MousePlanet updates... where is the love? (Just Kidding).

DCA has been a park that ORIGINALLY was "built on the cheap" (New York Times quote), but looking at the current expansion, should be a BETTER park in the next few years... Now things like the Silly Symphonies Swings, which truly remind be of Knott's Wave Swinger are not the best... But on the other hand, I am truly looking forward to World of Color, Little Mermaid and Cars Land.

So Happy 9th (and wow, for the first time in a LONG time, DCA will open at 9 AM today, isn't that ironic...) May you grow and become a FULL Day park instead of the current half day park.....

Happy Birthday DCA. I know DCA gets a lot of smack talk, but our family loves it. We are so excited for the changes that are coming..but we love DCA for what it is! :-)

Happy Birthday to what is now my favorite park. I have loved DCA from the minute it opened, BECAUSE it was empty, and it allowed me to roam around and explore without feeling pressured to get "my monies worth".

Hi all, I'm not sure if this question has been answered in others threads but I have always wondered, Why does DCA open and close at 10?

I wish DCA a happy birthday and can't wait for new things that are held in its future. I really enjoy DCA though and still want to go back.

Went to Guest Relations inside of DCA and asked for a BD/Anniversary buitton... they said "HUH?" (and there were 4 Plaids in the office)... I had to explain to them that it was DCA's 9th BD.... and I had to do it MANY more times as CM's were wishing ME a Happy Anniversary (due to the button), and I had to say that it is the PARK'S Anniversary... One Plaid, much later in the day say "Happy Anniversary", and I corrected her, and she said... OH.... OUR Anniversary! (After figuring it out)
