Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Undersea Adventure will not have its DCA premiere before Summer 2011
Breaking News: We were all expecting its opening for early May but, bad news, as Disney announced today that Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Undersea Adventure will NOT have its DCA premiere before Summer 2011. They also announced that Star Tours 2 will not open before June. Chances are that both highly awaited attractions will have their premiere at the same time, including, too, the new Disneyland Mickey’s Soundsational Parade. This is probably due to the big POTC 4 premiere event which will happen at DL in May and Disney probably thought that having two major events at DL the same month was not a good idea on a marketing point of view.

Where was this announced? I have seen nor heard nothing about this from an unnamed source saying "Disney announced..." yet nobody else seems to say it. I call shenanigans.
So there.

I'm pretty sure we were all expecting everything to not be open until June....

A WDW press release mentions DL's Star Tours, Mermaid and Soundsational-
Disney Season Summer 2011: Disney Parks Guests Can Venture to Planets Coruscant and Tatooine – and Beyond
Towards the bottom of the release it mentions Mermaid and Soundsational-Now the Star Tours attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Florida (scheduled to reopen May 20) and at Disneyland Park in California (scheduled to reopen in June)
I think I'll wait until a press release from DLR tells more.At Disneyland Resort, a new attraction and a new parade also are debuting this summer:
With the premiere of The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel's Undersea Adventure, Disney California Adventure will take guests "under the sea" to experience magnificent scenes and magical songs from the popular motion picture. The attraction represents the next big milestone in the ongoing expansion of the park.
At Disneyland Park, Mickey's Soundsational Parade will stomp, clang and drum its way down Main Street, U.S.A. Musicians, dancers and Disney characters join together in the explosive music festival that will bring to life some of the most beloved melodies from Disney films."Tomorrow will be better for as long as America keeps alive the ideals of freedom and a better life." While I don't believe anything until it actually opens, I think this is more true for Soundsational than anything else. I'm still expecting a May opening for Mermaid/Star Tours/Goofy.

Dang it! Now I have to wait four more months to see Mickey's Soundsational Parade. I can't wait that long! I know, I'm impatient. CAn't help it. I could try.

I hope we don't have to wait too long for Star Tours. I can wait for Mermaid or whatever, but I'm in such a Star Wars mood this year what with The Old Republic coming out, and the Clone Wars suddenly turning into a really great show...
I think I'll go crazy if I can't ride Star Tours again soon.
