OC's Top Five Most Dangerous Theme Park Rides - Orange County News - Navel Gazing
Eyelid injury, WTF?
2. Splash Mountain (Disneyland): I'm not sure if any of Splash Mountain's 15 injuries were incurred by the song that's played on loop (How do you do?), but that would definitely be my first guess. Most of Splash Mountain's injury reports border on the absolutely ludicrous, including an eyebrow laceration, a fainting spell, and an eyelid injury. An eyelid injury?!? Who reports an eyelid injury? What could possibly happen to you on Splash Mountain that would cause an eyelid injury? While floating by, did an audio-animatronic accidentally catch a hold of your eyelid and rip it off? Even then, if so, at least you'd be as cool as Marty Feldman.

For a long time Small World was the most litigated ride for Disneyland with many slip and fall injuries. But back in the late 80's and early 90's the ride that was most talked about back stage was BTMR and the mechanical issues with the brakes. It is funny what makes the rounds backstage.
As for the list, Ghostrider is no surprise to me. What could be a great coaster is ruined by the trains the use which cause the cars to beat the crap out of the riders. Once was enough for me. Anyone who whines about Matterhorn needs a reality check on Ghostrider. Horribly designed coaster!

Just goes to show, anytime you see any of these "10 Worst" or "10 Best" lists, you should take them with a grain a salt.

Why does the title say it's about Disneyland, when clearly it's about all theme parks in the OC area, including the Knotts injury machines?
Just because we're at war, doesn't mean we can't be civilised...

Well I totally agree with the Ghostrider..we were in Knotts in June and went on the Ghostrider. I felt like I was bleeding internally after that thing it just rattles you to the core. Needless to say we were done for the day after we rode that. I'm only 23 so that's saying something if it bothered me that much.

I know this is about OC, but my ride that beat the daylights out of me was the coaster at State Line. My back will never be the same.

Hehehe, I love Buffalo Bills. Used to get the all-day pass and ride that thing over and over! Would love going from the hot air back into the icy casino.

I'm addicted to Disneyland. Disneyland hobbies are expensive. If I become a bum people are going to say "Don't give him money, he's just gonna use it on Disneyland."
Disneyland. My Anti-drug.
