We just went to DCA and Disneyland over the weekend and it was very hot and humid. After a few hours at Disneyland we walked over to DCA and as we are walking along abou to melt in the heat, we noticed this area next to that big Bulldozer where you there is this mister that goes around in a circle and you can just stand underneath it and cool off! IT is great! In addition, in the kiddie area you can stand in the middle of these shooting sprays of water..........and in that heat the adults are right there with the kids!! I just wish they would have such a thing in Disneyland. They could put it in Tomorrowland where that water ball is which really doesnt do much to get one that wet. In addition, that misting machine in DCA looks kinda futuristic like as it and I think would fit perfectly with the Tomorrowland theme.
Has anyone else used these wonders for cooling down?![]()

I think that is a good idea to have a mysting machine in Tomorrowland. Like the one in DCA that is by Soaring Over California or make it look like a decontamination chamber. In Adventureland they can have the little myst hoses spraying off the roof tops or trees to give it that Jungle effect. This would be a great way to help fight off the summer heat.
If you get too close, you might get bitten!

The mist machines are really great. They cool you down in no time. It would be a good idea to put one in tomorrowland, or any land.

Doesn't(didn't) the Moonliner spray mist every 15 minutes or something?
Cosmic Waves as a mister would be good. Kids could be "cooling off," but the area wouldn't reek of chlorine with naked kids running out into HISTA. I liked the concept of Cosmic Waves, but it should have been off in a corner instead of a main pathway, like the ones by Test Track in Epcot.City Hall Complaint Count: 201

Am I the only one who hates these cooling off areas? For some reason, I can not stand getting really wet when I am hot. I do not mind a trip on Splash Mountain..but, I stay clear from the farm cooling area.

Well at DCA you have a choice of either just getting misted or getting really wet, depending of what you decide to stand under.

I know...I do not like the entire area. I have been there a few times and walk "around" the area. I think it has to do with growing up in RI where the humidity is terrible. If you get wet in that type of humidity you NEVER dry. You just walk around sticky all day.

hehehe... but I love watching those kids have such a good time. It cracks me up. Some kids try so hard to stay dry so they can be good, other kids just go at it and get soaked, trying to splash people or catch the water droplets! My sister, who's 17, loves that area as well...

I swear, Disney doesn't need to do a lot to make kids happy!!!
