January 31, 2010 - Silly Symphony Swings, Carsland, Mermaid and More!

Visiting the Resort today with friends who decided to upgrade their 2Fer to an Annual Pass so we headed to the location of the former Hollywood and Dine Restaurant.

Stage 12. Sign still says Hollywood and Dine at the bottom.

Empty plaza in front of the processing area.

Lots of benches.

Inside, the restaurant is pretty much untouched. Big black curtains block you off to a small portion of the building reserved for AP processing.

Lots of movie equipment and such set the stage of a real movie studio.

Alas, now the area is the place to inquire about Blockout days and parking options.

HOT SET.

One of the curtains was parted open, allowing for a view inside of the restaurant.

No more tables.

Theming.

Set lights.

thanks for the great update! I felt bad for the poor pelican. Security following him, and all he wanted was to chill out at the park lol!

Great report! Thanks DL. I was there on Saturday and it was such a perfect day! You need to check out the new heart deco that Horticultrue is adding for February. There will be one at Minnies house in Toontown and 4 in the Speaker boxes in Town Square. I have seen a pic of the one at Minnies house and its really cute. The went in today and will be there for all of Feb...a tribute to Valentines Day!

You didn't see part of them? They ended up ordering extra and brought them in last week and those went in to the Walt and Mickey statue. They were starting to bloom. The ones for Town Square are coming this week. I can't wait to see them in full bloom.

I think it was more for his safety and the safety of guests. One lady got really close to take a picture and he felt threatened and started charging towards her flapping his wings.
