Crowds the 2nd week of May 2004?

Hi everyone,

I am planning a visit to Disneyland the 2nd week of May 2004. I see from the historical data that this is one of the least crowded times at Disneyland. I wanted to ask the locals if they have found this to be the case, and also if you think the opening of the Tower of Terror will have a huge impact on crowds?

I am going to say that with the opening of Tower of Terror, you're going to find rather large crowds.

Anyone else out there have a more informed opinion?

Thanks Cinder! Our dates are pretty open, but I know that we don't want to go in the summer, and we do not want to go in April again. We experienced large crowds in April before and do not want to run into that again. We'll be coming from Colorado and haven't visited DL in 3 years, and want to go when the crowds are low.

if you want to avoid the huge crowds,maybe you should try after Labor Day? its pretty mild that time of year.
you should definatly wait until after May 4th 2004 to go though,that way you can check out Tower of Terror

May is very medium, but with the opening of Tower, I imagine there's going to be a lot of locals coming to check it out. I'd say overall it would be a medium occupancy month.

I would agree with mid September... especially week days are great... the kids are in school the park is still open later hours and the RUSH for Tower Of Terror will be mostly dispersed...

one of my best Days ever was midweek late september... we were able to do everything we wanted to see and the evenings especially are wonderful...

of course that was before we had kids...

Does anyone know much about the last week of April and crowds? I am considering this time as well, but I don't know if locals will still be on spring break.

stay away from the week before or after easter.. this is usuall when kids have 'SPRING BREAK"....although that can vary by district, also many so cal schools are on year round and can be off an time...

the advantge to may, early june and sept. is the park is open extended hours , and TOT will be open...

The last week of April should be lighter than the first three weeks. Spring break will be over for most schools at that point. I also think that many people will be holding off on a trip until after Tower of Terror is open. If this attraction does not interest you much, I would go ahead and visit that last week of April.

If you want very light crowds, follow the advise of the above posts.

Well any day of the week will be the best. I would say to wait for tower to open, so you and you family could experience it. Maybe a week after tower opens.
