Okay, another question. I'm probably going to wear a blue polo shirt with an outline of Mickey on the right. Official Disney merchandise is acceptable, right? Also, our packet said no logos...do shoes count?

Why is it that anything that has to do with school has very very specific dress codes. Geez!

We are doing the "Blast-Off" at DCA, and we are getting there around 1PM on Thursday. It closes at 6 that night, and we aren't scheduled to leave until 9 to go to ESPN Zone for dinner until 9:30. Will we be in the park with just the Grad Nite crowd?

At Disneyland, will most/every ride be open? Will Fastpass be available?

    What shops will be open?

Will there be any fireworks that night?

Why are fanny packs allowed, but not camera cases?

That's all I can think of right now, thanks for any answers. I'll be sure to post a trip report and some pics next weekend!
According to the press release website. There is supposed to be some new laser and pyrotechnic thing for grad night based on all of 2005's best hits.

ahhh Grad Night was one of my best memories.....our bus got in a little early so we had to wait in the parking lot. Then they let us in behind Splash Mountain. We had to get searched and all that even back then. Fantasmic was just finishing up so they only let us in as far as the HM. I rode SM and HM before they had opened the rest of the park to us. They had a bunch of leftover salads at the Hungry Bear, so they set up a table and were just handing them out I think. I don't know for sure since I didn't want one. I did eat at the Stage Door, had a burger and fries and I still have my special grad night plastic soda cup. Country Bears,Columbia,TSI, Mark Twain, Innoventions, Golden Horseshoe and Lincoln were closed. I remember riding the Subs....the "new" TL was being built around us...It was my first ride on Indy....the line was all the way out to the fruit stand....but I loved that ride. The JC skipper I had refused to let any chaparones ride in our boat...he said it was a grads only tour and they would have to wait for the next boat. Pirates was backed up all night...tons of kids being unruly on that, standing up and all that. Toon Town was a ghost town...everything was open...rode GoCoaster like 5 times without getting out...got to take my time in Mickey and Minnies houses....they had DJs in almost every area of the park....it's a totaly different feeling with that.....we didn't have any fireworks....but watching the sun rise over Main St. was enough for me...In fact one of the things I'm looking forward to after I get my teaching credentials is chaparoning a grad night.

What is "Blast Off" at DCA at 1:00. I'm going to be there with my family and I am not really excited about big crowds of high school kids. Just trying to avoid crowds in general, nothing personal about the crowd being high school kids. I was once one too! Anyway, does this Blast Off thing mean we will be sharing the park with huge crowds of grads?? Just want to know what to expect. Thanks for the info!

^That is pretty much what I was asking. Is the park shared for a certain amount of time? Personally, if I paid what my school wanted us to pay for gradnight, I wouldnt want to be there with the regular everyday guests.

"Blast Off" is a pre-Grad Nite party at DCA. Will you be park hopping? If I were you, I'd get to DCA in the morning hours, and if it gets really bad (which I doubt will happen) you can always park hop over to Disneyland. I doubt that too many schools will participate, so I wouldn't worry too much.

Nice thread here, Im going on the 26th. Anyway, Disney merchandise is definitely acceptable as far as I know. I dont think shoes really matter with the logos. I think they meant school and company logos on shirts more than anything.

    Another question:

Are the mosaics visible at night? Will the kiosks be on during Grad Nite? I'd like to see my pics that I submitted...I already saw one of them in one of darkbeer's updates!

To be honest, I don't remember the details of our dress code. I do remember that they weren't inforced. I dont even remember if they were rules that Disneyland made or the school. I don't see them having a problem w/you wearing a Disney shirt to Disneyland. Anyways, I wouldn't stress on it too much! Have a great trip!
