Hey everyone! I am trying to look up info for my upcoming trip (YAAAY). Do you guys suggest a shuttle or a taxi (which is a better value?). I am flying into John Wayne and staying right across the street from DL. And how long does it take to get from the airport to that area, roughly (so I can plan pick up times). We usually drive down to DL, so im looking forward to flying! I would REALLY appreciate some help. Thanks so much!!

we used "super shuttle" and it was great, we had a reservation, and they were at the airport when we were, we waited maybe 10 minutes to load up...
it was 10-12 per person, and they drop you right at the hotel door... worked great...
they have a web site and an 800# we only caught them to the hotel...
not sure how the taxi cost compares...
the ride to DLR took maybe 15 minutes as they use the bus/carpool lanes and it was nonstop even though the cars on the freeway were slow...
have fun...DCA 1/2 the park, Same low price....

A taxi is $35 each way (before tip). If you have 4 passengers, you will save money with a cab and have it all to yourself. You don't need a reservation, just walk directly to the transportation center and head to the cab at the front of the line.

We have always used a taxi and been very happy....quick ride!
Also, remember when using any shuttle service there is the possiblilty of several stops before yours.....so, if you are in a hurry this can be quite frustrating.
Have a great trip!

Thanks for all your input, everyone
. Since there are only 2 of us (including myself) we opted for the shuttle. Also because we are in no real rush, just kind of excited.
(Just to think... this time tomorrow..!!!!) Again, thanks for the help, it also gave me ideas about what to do for the future when we will have a slightly larger party.

Until they fix the fuel tank sensor problem, I wouldn't take the space shuttle anywhere.
