Re: My new production company!
Man, I am so jealous! Songs for a new world is such an amazing show! I love to play those songs... Jason Robert Brown is an amazing talent.
I've never seen the show, but have memorized the score, and am steadily working through the sheet music. Are you going to be *in* the show? which songs are you doing?Last edited by Sydney; 08-20-2003 at 09:05 PM.

congradulations! I really wanna try and do the same thing down here in Sothern California, but since my school said I might get to direct something by junior/senior year, I'm gonna try and wait for that chance, and maybe hep direct shows for other theater companies. But what your doing is awesome! I love jason robert brown! again congradulations and break a leg!

Re: My new production company!
LOL... I love those songs. I love the man 1 songs too, but my voice is just not high enough to hit the c in "King of the world"...
But I'll be happy just to play them. I love the show opener... It sounds like you are doing a LOT of work though. Break a leg! Hope it's excellent
BTW-- I'm glad you posted a new picture for your avatar, cause I didn't know if you were the girl or the guy in your last picture....

Re: My new production company!
Well, we sold 300 tickets and broke even with a little left over for the Actors' Fund, so it wasn't as "beneficial" as it could have been. Oh well! The show went fantastic for the most part...a few technical glitches with the robotic lighting caused some interesting effects, and my man 2 singer was flat on every harmony (that had never happened before) so the group numbers weren't as good as they could have been, but the solos were stupendous. Man 2's mike started actin' up in Act II, but he pulled through.

BTW, the music is wonderful Syd. No complaints here...and I like the original ending from the show. Purism rocks!
