So what a summer it has been for Disney movies. Nemo has become the 8th highest grossing film of all time surpassing the Lion King to become the highest grossing animated film of all time. As it stands, Pirates is looking to surpass the Matrix Reloaded to become the second highest grossing film this year. Spy Kids 3d has made over $100 million, and Freaky Friday came in second this weekend bringing it's box office total to around $89 million. It should surpass $100 million sometime in the next two weeks. and Home on the Range has made $42 which more than covers it's production budget. With this success, who bought stock? Even the independent films at Miramax have been faring well in their limited release. How do you think the fall winter line up will fare? There should be a few $100 million plus movies left in them. My gues is (The Haunted Mansion, The Alamo, Kill Bill Volume 1, Scary Movie 3, and possibly Brother Bear have the potential to grosss $100 mil plus. By the time summer is over Disney will already have 5 that have surpassed that mark.( Brinbgin down the house, Nem, Pirates, Spy Kids, and probably Freaky Friday)

Re: Disney Summer Movie Wrap
The estimates are in for the weeked putting Pirates as the # 2 movie for the year with $282 million, Freaky Friday had Made 97 Million, and Open Range almost 50, not bad overall. Disney now holds the #1 and 2 spots. However The Matrix revolutions and The return of teh King haven't come out yet.
