If Moore is pro Roy, it proves he is the largest hack in Hollywood. Well maybe the Weinstein brothers are fatter?Originally Posted by Greg

You don't happen to go to USC or Berkeley do you? I support not seeing this movie, cause I don't want to spend $9 to sit for two hours listening to "Mr. Moore ranting. Hell from what I hear from a couple friends, the movie has made them turn off to all this liberal talk.

[QUOTE=Mortimer]This film has already received high praise at Cannes, (longest standing ovation in the festival's history).
I think it inferiorates some because it's overall message is hyper-critical of Bush and his administration.
[QUOTE]
It got the standing O for being critical of bush...is my guess, not because it's a great piece of film"Have you been on Autopia before....I tell you. You don't drive it, it drives you."- My Grandfather

Did you equate the political ideologies of the student bodies at USC and UC Berkeley? As far as generalizations go, USC is a private, conservative institution, while Berkeley is known for its liberalism.Last edited by cinder; 06-21-2004 at 08:16 AM.

So don't go. By not going, you participate in the most important form of protest: Speak with your/parents money. Were you for GHHigh becoming a charter too?

Moore is a terrible film maker and a propagandist to the highest level.I will never see any of his films ever again.I think they do more harm than good and I think he knows this.He intentionaly does this to try to discredit the current administration, because he is a socialist.People like him will do whatever it takes to get their way even if it means destroying our country. That being said I still think he has the right to make his movies. But the distributers and theaters have the right not to do business with him.And everybody has the right to say whatever they want about his work.
...the value of an idea has nothing whatsoever to do with the sincerity of the man who expresses it.

I think so long as you agree that he has the right to do this, there is no problem. I see this movie as the June 2004 "Passion of the whatever". Nothing more than pre-opening controversy to stir up potential customers. I have a feeling that Mel Gibson's snuff film will beat out Michael Moore's movie at the box office.

i definitely wont be seeing this film.... by definitely that is 98.6% definitely....I do believe he can show his dumb movie and people can give him their money.... that is free enterprise.... if i did see it it would only be as an educational deal to see what the other side is up to....
I also stand by Disneys right to NOT distribute the movie....
gee that was easy...DCA 1/2 the park, Same low price....

Re: Now this is absurd...Ban Fahrenheit 9/11?? Clueless conservatives...
USC has changed... this election is showing it too. USC dumped it's conservative image years ago, and everybody knows it. I wouldn't surprise if USC ends up like another Berkeley in 10-15 years.
MattO, I was for Granada Hills High School to become charter. I wanted to see what the school can do without being held by LAUSD. By only granting the school a one year charter, there wasn't a large chance to take. Kids at the school used to blame the Charter for such things as receiving lockers late into the year, but this is all due to ignorance. I read up on what the charter was to do for the school, along with the minuses. Some of these minuses such us the ellimination of the ASL (American Sign Language) program, never became a reality.
Being 16 and making money allows me to do more. Hell, my dad probably wouldn't give me a dime to see that movie cause he's 100% right wing. What do you know about Granada? Did you use to live in the San Fernando Valley or something? I didn't know the news about the school really reached that far up the coast...
