Unhappy Garfield beats "Around the World" and "King Arthur" combined

I was reading this article on yahoo, and was shocked to see that "Garfield" has fared better than "Around the World in 80 Days" and "King Arthur" combined. For me personally, i did unfortunately go see Garfield and not the two Disney movies.

I hope Disney can turn it around in the theater.

Not every studio has reason for joy. Disney, which stands in sixth place, hit roadblocks with both "Around the World in 80 Days," which has picked up just $22.8 million to date, and "King Arthur," with $45.2 million in receipts. The studio's fortunes could improve, though, with this weekend's release of M. Night Shyamalan's suspenser "The Village."

The season also has had its share of sleepers: Fox's relatively low-budget "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story" picked up $109.3 million and is the seventh-highest-grossing film of the summer so far, while the studio's "Garfield: The Movie," though the critics knocked it, collected $72 million.
