Re: Oscars 2005—Best Picture
I don't know. I haven't seen any of them. I heard the Aviator is really good. This afternoon I'm going to see Finding Neverland, but until then I won't be able to pick which one I think should win best picture.
TODAY, I FEEL...EMPTY

Re: Oscars 2005—Best Picture
Finding Neverland, followed closely by Sideways. Those two movies were phenomenal. I thought The Aviator was crap, and I think anything by Clint Eastwood is crap, so I didn't even bother to go watch Million Dollar Baby. Ray had no appeal to me either. Maybe because I'm not a fan of Jamie Foxx.

None of those movies seemed very interesting. Haven't seen any of them.

Re: Oscars 2005—Best Picture
Sideways is not dumb. It just does not follow a standard movie formula. They focus less on a plot and more on character devopment and it is more of an artistic film. These reasons and the fact that it is an independant film are why it won't win the Oscar for Best Picture, which I think plain sucks, since it and Finding Neverland were the two best films of the year.

Re: Oscars 2005—Best Picture
I saw Sideways. I liked it a lot. I don't know how anyone could walk out of the movie unless they were looking for some sort of big budget shoot 'em up with corporate logos plastered all over the screen in every scene. The movie was a good, well-written independent and low budget movie about how life sucks. What could be more fun?
So there.
