I saw it back in March when I was in France. I loved it! Its too bad they didnt advertise it here in the US as much as they did in France. They had posters everywhere. and in windows they had cling on birds.

I decided a long time ago not to see any disney movies in the theaters. So I'll wait for it to come out on dvd. To be fair to disney I wait for most movies to come out on dvd before seeing them.
...the value of an idea has nothing whatsoever to do with the sincerity of the man who expresses it.

This isn't really a Disney movie. This is a Vanguard movie being released by Disney. IMO, so as not confuse the masses, Valiant should have been distributed under Touchstone since they spent $38 marketing it anyway. Why would they slap the hallowed (pronounced hal-oh-WED) name of Walt Disney on a film they had no confidence in? Seriously. Stupid.

I have this theory: Just before "A Bug's Life" came out, the other guys released the dismal "Ants." Ants sucked, Bugs did well.
Taking a tip from this marketing precedent, Disney found a studio making a picture with a similar idea to Chicken Little, in a similar style, and decided to be the marketing arm for Valiant, to help boost attendance at Chicken Little.
I just cant believe that CL is going to get any good numbers. I may be wrong, but as George Lucas would have me say, "I've got a bad feeling about this." I mean, who is going to want to see Chicken Little? They barely came out to see Chicken Run! The characters look bad, the plot sounds cheesy, the idea is as appealing as "Treasure Planet," and then there is the Pixar backlash factor.
Folks love to rag on Disney. They would love for this thing to fall on its butt.
And Disney can take a look at Valiant to give them an idea if the story will carry... which I am thinking it wont. Look for them both to be available for DVD by Easter.
